Perhaps this picture illustrates alittle how life is like.
There's a path ahead for each one of us to walk, as seen from the start and end of this tunnel-like thing. However, along the way one comes across many distractions as depicted by the holes. Sometimes, we succeed in keeping our focus and stay on track. But on other occassions, we give in to them and peer out of the holes, losing our focus on what's most important.
Looking at it in a slightly different light, maybe the number of distractions (holes) differ with each individual. Each hole represents the danger we pose to ourself in losing our focus. The more holes that are present, the more likely we will be distracted. On the other hand, the fewer holes there are, the less likely we are to lose focus.
Just some food for thought,
How often do we give in to distractions and lose focus of the goal?
How many holes are present in each of our lives?
Perhaps if there are more holes than we can handle, something needs to be done.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

Wonder where to begin penning this down.
Which brings me back to the starting line,
how all these began in the first place

Right from the start,
it was crafted by Him.
Never would I imagine myself taking this step
especially with the indecisive nature of mine
But He led at the start
and without a doubt,
He has been so faithful and gracious

Having been through one semester
and seeing the results of it,
there's no way I can take the credit for it
because none of it would have been possible
if it was my own ability.
It was by His grace alone.

However,
the tendency to claim the credit is still there.
Silly to do so
and God forbid.

May it just be a piece of paper,
a status,
that means nothing more
than an avenue to shine for You

Not to strive for academic excellence,
but to see the prayer from the start come to pass
and to do my part in seeing it come to pass

You are in the business of souls
more than anything else.
Make that my heart's desire as well
and keep my eyes on You alone

Give credit where credit is due.
Thank You for everything.
